Standard on the 20m Truss
Covered in Sheltex.
Every 20m Truss is made to order, so it ships with Sheltex, our own 650gsm PVC cover developed to our own specification for harsh UV and exposed sites. Heavier than the industry-standard 610gsm, with a sealed outer finish that stays cleaner and brighter for longer.
Mount inside to inside for the quoted clear span, or outside to outside to bring the containers under cover as well. Either option works on single or double-stacked containers.
Renders show the 20m Truss on 40ft containers.
Standard
Inside to Inside - Single Stack
The shelter mounts to the inner edges of the containers. The quoted span is the clear space between them.
Our standard configuration
Span measured between containers
Lowest overall height
Outside to Outside - Single Stack
The shelter mounts to the outer edges of the containers, so the containers sit under cover as well as the space between them.
Wider overall covered width
Containers protected under the roof
Lowest overall height
Inside to Inside - Double Stack
Mounted inside to inside on containers stacked two high, for extra height clearance under the shelter.
Extra height clearance
Span measured between containers
Two containers high
Outside to Outside - Double Stack
Mounted outside to outside on double-stacked containers, combining the widest covered area with maximum height clearance.
Containers protected

Need something different?
Built around your operation.
We've spent more than 12 years solving unusual storage problems. Roller doors, personnel doors, louvres, custom flashings, extra-wide openings and bespoke fabrication are all possible.
Our earlier end wall system relied on a more conventional edge-fixing method.
More visible fabric movement
Less consistent long-term tension
Noisy in a wind event
More manual adjustment

The project
Wide cover without the height, on an exposed harbour-side port site.
WM New Zealand needed a large covered processing area at their port operation. Right on the harbour, the site cops everything the coast sends its way, so the structure had to be as tough as it was wide.
The 20m Truss gives them twenty metres of clear, column-free space without the excessive height that usually comes with a structure this size. Underneath the cover is a 400mm-deep truss web, which is what gives the span its strength and rigidity in a harbourside wind. Wide enough to work in, low enough to stay out of the weather.
