OUR STORY

Twelve years.
3,500 shelters.

We started in New Zealand in 2014 covering the gap between two shipping containers. The same structures now sit over quarries, ports, packhouses, sawmills and school courtyards across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

WHAT WE ACTUALLY BUILD

Covered space, without the build programme

A container shelter is a hot dip galvanised steel frame with a heavy-duty PVC cover, mounted on containers, concrete blocks or posts. No conventional foundations, and many projects are installed in days rather than months. Approval requirements vary by state and local council — we supply the engineering documents your council or certifier asks for.

That sounds simple, and the small ones are. The interesting work is at the other end — a 25m clear span with no internal columns, a 160m run down a packhouse, a double-stacked structure with enough height for a container handler to drive underneath. That is where the engineering stops being generic.

THE PART THAT MATTERS

One grey shelter changed how we build.

We built a grey one once. Walking inside it, two things were obvious straight away: it was hot, and it was dark. Rather than put it down to a bad day, we went and measured properly — a white cover and a grey cover, side by side, on a 30°C day.

Nineteen degrees. At 50°C a cover goes tacky, stretches, and needs re-tensioning within weeks. White has been our standard ever since, and we will talk anyone out of a dark cover unless they have a good reason for it.

The same instinct is why every structural component and bracket is hot dip galvanised rather than just the main members, and why we engineered rope out of the structure entirely. None of it shows up in a photograph. All of it shows up in year five.

WHO WE WORK WITH

Repeat customers, mostly

Fletcher, Naylor Love, PlaceMakers, ITM, Bunnings, Fonterra, KiwiRail, Waste Management and ContainerCo have all put our shelters on their sites. VIP Frame & Truss now has roughly 400m of shelter installed across their branches, added in stages as they grew.

Alongside them are the jobs that never make a brochure. A calf shed. A microlight hangar. A bus stop at a school. A cover over a historic vessel at a museum. Those matter just as much, and they are the ones that tell you whether a business actually turns up.

THE TEAM

Small enough that nothing goes into a queue

We are a small team by design. Between us we scope, quote and engineer every job, and can arrange installation across Australia. When something needs a decision, it gets one that day rather than a reference number.

The same shelters we have been building since 2014 are supplied across Australia, each one made to order.
